Film, art and story-making with a dollop of science and technology is our focus for the first half of 2012. The exhibition How to Make a Monster: The art and technology of animatronics is in the Museum from 25 February to 15 July and we have developed an integrated set of programmes to to give you more ways to make use of it in the classroom. Based on the premise that monster-based creative work requires you to imagine, design and create your own world, the programmes on offer feed into various stages of that process. Select from class programmes, teacher workshops, other participatory activities, and ideas from the online teacher resource. We hope you will find a programme, or a set of programmes that complements your class learning plan for Term 1 and/or 2 and that excite your imagination.

Please let us know what you think of this different approach to providing experiences for you and your classes. Just drop us an email at feedback.museum@hcc.govt.nz.Online teacher resource
