fieldays no.8 wire national art award

No. 8 wire is iconic to Waikato and New Zealand. Kiwis are famous for their ingenuity, and are known as people who can create anything, all they need is a piece of No. 8 wire. This art award gives kiwis the chance to do just that – No. 8 wire has become symbolic of kiwi adaptability.

Fieldays have supported the Award, encouraging creative talents to sculpt work using No. 8 wire, for the past 10 years.

This year the Fieldays No. 8 Wire National Art Award was coordinated by the Waikato Museum and is on display at ArtsPost.

This award is suitable for anyone to enter and give it a go, all you need is a piece of No. 8 wire!
