This is a growing collection. The Science Collection includes a number of natural history specimens including Huia birds which are now extinct, and botanical collections by Audrey Eagle from Ngaruawahia. Of special interest is the fossil of a giant pengiun found by members of the Junats group on the Kawhia beach.
Two volumes have been published “Eagle’s Complete Trees and Shrubs of New Zealand” by Eagle. The collection also extends to the Exscite Learning Interactives Collection which is an educational hands-on display.
