Draw an imaginasaurus competition
Entries have Closed - Congratulations to our Winners
Our judges felt that because of the very high standard of entries from many children (we received hundreds of entries), it was not possible to award only a single prize on this occasion. Consequently, we have decided to award two Roboraptor prizes.
Congratulations to “Jared Cox” from Glenview School in Hamilton.
This entry shows a fierce “imaginasaurus” called “BITESASAURUS”
He is a multicoloured striped dinosaur (that smells like extravaganza human skin) and lives in open ground in the vicinity of a volcano with vegetation nearby.
A blend of various dinosaurs, he is amply able to protect himself with a heavily armoured Ankylosaurus back, a powerful Stegosaurus tail, stomping Triceratops feet, and a fierce T-Rex head!
His size is uncertain but he must be as large as he is strong as he spends some of his time inside a big hut (100 m wide and 200 m long) that is made out of 30 layers of brick!
Being an omnivore, he eats both meat and vegetables. For meat, he only eats harmful dinosaurs. He has an interesting way of making them more palatable, his motto is “Eat Treat, Eat Sweet”. He puts lollies in the harmful dinosaur’s mouth and then when he’s biting he sucks up the lollies.
Hence his name, BITESASAURUS…
Congratulations also go to Lathan Zahnd from Kopuarahi School near Thames.
His entry shows a highly imaginative and very colourful “imaginasaurus” called “Bob the Rainbowsaurus”.
Bob lives in a vividly depicted volcano environment where we can see heaps of lava and rocks, and also the occasional tree.
Apparently, he is a small and fast meat eater (a carnivore) that feeds exclusively on other dinosaurs.
He is very different to most other dinosaurs because both his defence and hunting techniques are effectively the same (hiding in rainbows). As can be seen, rainbow coloured sections on his body, legs, head and across the length of his tail camouflage him well against the bright rainbow background.
This must be a very successful strategy as Bob the Rainbowsaurus is able to kill other dinosaurs everyday.
Each winner receives their very own remote controlled dinosaur;
The ROBORAPTOR !!
Use your remote control to make roboraptor move under your command!
Alternatively, set it free to roam about under its own control or, if you wish, command it to stay put and fiercely guard an area from all intruders!
You can also change its mood, choosing between an active hunting approach, to playful or even cautious.
